Computer Learning Centre

The Centre has a number of public access PCs, which have:

  • Windows
  • An Internet Connection
  • Microsoft Office
    • Word
    • Excel
    • PowerPoint
    • Publisher
  • Internet Explorer and Firefox

The internet access means that users can check their email, read web pages, and look up any information required!

There is a content-filter in place to reduce the risk of inadvertently finding mature or otherwise objectionable internet content.

In order to use these you will have to agree to the acceptable use policy. If you are under 18 you will need to have a parent agree to these on your behalf.

If you can’t use a computer and want to learn (for free) then come to the Centre on Wednesday 6pm to 8pm. You will learn at your pace in an informal and friendly way. Computers are not difficult but it will help a lot to bring a notepad and pen to make notes to help you remember what you have learned. You can then use your notes to use the computers in-between lessons without anyone to help you.
